We have these on our garage doors and love them! They are best described by the Stanley Catalog #16:
"Doors equipped with these holders are held open by the action of the bar, which is attached to the door, engaging with the catch plate attached to the top of the door casing. By a slight pull on the chain, the holder is released.
"Can be used on curved top doors by blocking down from the head jamb.
"The jamb plate is made of extra heavy wrought steel and is so designed as to prevent breakage."Measurments:
